Introduction

Hey Cub Scouts!

Summer is almost here! Do you want to have Fun? Would you like to go Swimming? Shoot BB Guns? Take Hikes in the Woods? Go Fishing? Shoot Bow and Arrow? Play Games and Sports? Explore Nature? Make cool Crafts? Enjoy crazy Campfires? Campout Overnight? How about going to one of our GREAT Cub Scout Camps this summer?

Camp Lazarus offers three FUN camping programs in July. Even if you’re already going to Cub Scout Day Camp, you can also go to any or all of the three Cub Scout Summer Camps. SHARE this information with your Parents!

Hello Webelos!

Many Cub Scout Day Camps serve youth going into 1st through 5th grades in the fall. However, boys who will be in a Webelos Scout den in the fall (4th or 5th grades) are strongly encouraged to consider Webelos Summer Camp instead of (or in addition to) Cub Scout Day Camp. Webelos Summer Camp, like the Webelos program, is a transitional camp between what you have already experienced at Day Camp in previous years and what you will experience at Boy Scout Summer Camp as a Boy Scout in the future.

Attention Parents!

Do something great for your Cub Scout……..make a memory-making adventure at Camp this summer.

Summer presents some exciting possibilities for all Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers in the Simon Kenton Council. Here’s what’s available:

The opportunities offered by the Simon Kenton Council for outdoor fun and excitement are a result of Scouting’s partnership with concerned community organizations and volunteer leaders.  All are designed to help us in our effort with you to help Scouts be “prepared for life.”

Help them grow and develop self-reliance.

Help them explore the wilds, breath clean, crisp air, wake up with the birds, and see nature first hand, up close.

Let them share this adventure with good friends as they learn to swim, shoot a bow and to camp and hike.  They can learn craft skills and woodwork and leatherwork.

Let them do without TV and other canned entertainment for a time.  They can try new sports like archery, marksmanship, orienteering, swimming, and hiking.

Let them watch the clouds drift through the branches of a tall tree or guzzle a can of soda pop with a pal.

Let them lift their voices in song in that magic circle of friends around an evening campfire.

These programs are operated with strict health and safety guidelines, and all meet rigid national standards to be accredited camps of the Boy Scouts of America.
