The District would like to congratulate the following

      ProjectBuilt 17-32" x 24" Wood Duck houses and 3-16" x 24" Kestrel nesting boxes for Battelle Darby Creek Park.


      Jim Alderman                      Troop 873
      Project:  Built a 5' x 8' --4 wheeled portable ticket booth for the Fairbanks High School in Marysville which included two counters with steel frame around the bottom with a window and a trailer hitch.

      Michael Garwood                 Troop 873
      Project: Built 10 birdfeeders for the Gables Nursing Center in Marysville.  These feeders were installed on 4' x 4' x 6' poles which were cemented into the g round.  On the top of each bird feeders, a mix of annual and perennial flowers were planted in the inset of the roof.  A class was taught on how to attract different types of birds with a variety of seeds.

 

     Jay McKenna                          Troop 426

     Project:  Repaired and refurbished the fitness course around the Hilliard Community Center and weeded each station.  Some of the stations were:  step up post, body curl station, ring station and push up station.  All 14 stations  with the signs, equipment and wood borders were painted.

Project:  Repaired and refurbished 65 bikes and donated them to the Lutheran Social Services.  Also recycled parts from 15 additional bikes which gave them 320lbs of scrap metal and recycled 38 bike tires
