Friends of Scouting

The Faces of Our Future - 2009

You can contribute to the success of the Simon Kenton Council’s programs by supporting our annual "Friends of Scouting" campaign.

It costs an average of $150 per year per Scout to provide a top quality program. A donation of $150 in 12 payments is only a little more than $10.00 a month.  This is a very small price for an investment in our future – our young men and women.

Friends of Scouting provides funding for:

  •  Four council operating camping facilities

  •  Youth and Adult Training Programs

  •  The Scouter: our bi-monthly newspaper

  •  Council and District Events (camporees, summer camp, etc.)

  •  Accident and Sickness Insurance for all youth and adults

  •  Professional Staff

  •  Scout Service Center

  •  Recharter materials

  •  AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!

Give what you can! It makes a difference to OUR COMMUNITY, TO OUR PROGRAM, AND TO THE OVER 40,000 YOUNG PEOPLE IN SCOUTING.

The levels of support are:

  •  Benefactor: $5,000
  •  Guardian:    $1,000
  •  Patron:         $   500
  •  Leadership: $  250
  •  Family:         $  150

In addition to your personal gift, many local employers make matching contributions.  Check with your human resource department to find out!

Donations may be made by submitting an email with your name, address, phone, donation amount, and billing preference (ie:  monthly, quarterly, yearly).
