Each year over 220 young men earn Scouting’s highest honor – The Rank of Eagle Scout.  This dinner celebrates the accomplishments of our Eagle Scouts as well as the dedication of their parents and leaders.  The dinner also honors the dedication of our community leaders and corporations.  During the dinner, Scouts have the opportunity to talk with corporate leaders and hear inspirational comments from the keynote speaker.  Some of the past keynote speakers for the event have been:  Archie Griffin (two time Heiseman Trophy winner), Robert Gates (former Director of the CIA), Jim Tressell, Ohio Governor Bob Taft, and Bucky Dent (1978 World Series MVP).  Proceeds from the event directly benefit the over 40,000 young men and women served by the Simon Kenton Council
