Cub Scout Leader Training

Leader Training The next opportunity for you to attend Youth Protection Training, New Leader Essentials, and Cub Scout Leader Specific Training is coming up!

TRAINING IS YOUR KEY TO SUCCESS by helping you become a better leader AND making your Scouting job easier!

Cub Leader Training includes Youth Protection Training, New Leader Essentials and Cub Scout Specific Training. It is for all Cub Scout leaders (Tiger, Wolf, or Bear), Webelos leaders, Committee Chairs and Members, Cubmasters, and interested parents. We teach you what Cub Scouting is all about, and the secrets of running a successful program filled with PHUN!

Youth Protection Training - Learn how to keep Scouting safe. A must for every leader and adult in your unit! It is highly recommended that you re-take this free class every two years.

New Leader Essentials – Initial adult leader training which teaches you the mission, aims and methods of Scouting, resources available and what Scouting’s expectations are from you. You only need to take this class once.

Cub Scout Specific Training – We teach what your new leadership role is all about and give you tips, tricks and hints to make your job easier. There are specific classes for Tiger Leaders, Den Leaders (Wolf or Bear), Webelos Leaders, Cubmasters, Committee Members, Committee Chairs, all assistants, or parents.

Sign up for the entire day or just the classes you need to be trained for your position. Cost is $17.00 for the full day training and includes a copy of the Cub Scout Leader Book. Webelos Leaders, add $9 for a copy of the Webelos Leader Guide. Wear your uniform and a smile, bring your payment and pack a sack lunch or be prepared to go out for lunch.

Will your pack qualify as a 2008 Centennial Quality Unit?
Don't miss out on earning this prestigious award due to lack of training for your registered leaders!! To be fully trained, leaders need to complete Fast Start, Youth Protection, New Leader Essentials, and Leader Specific Training for their position.

AND did you know . . .
Every Tour Permit must include the name of at least one leader who has had Youth Protection Training?

To register or if you have questions, contact Ruth White with your name, home address and phone number, district, unit number, training date, and the classes you plan to attend.

Further information is available in the Cub Leader Training Flier and at Roundtable.
