Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation


BALOO Training Buckeye District's Training Team is offering all Cub Scout leaders the opportunity to attend
          Basic
          Adult
          Leader
          Outdoor
          Orientation
on Saturday, March 8, 2008.

BALOO is fun, exciting and a required training for all those in your pack who are in charge of conducting outdoor activities such as a pack family campout. It is recommended that each pack have at least two BALOO-trained adults.

By completing this course you will:
  • Understand the focus of the Cub Scout level of the BSA camping program
  • Acquire the skills and confidence necessary to plan and carry out a successful first-time Cub Scout level camping activity
  • Increase your knowledge of the resources available to you
  • Understand the requirements for a successful event using the BSA national standards
Sign up early to guarantee your enrollment. Pre-registration by February 29, 2008 is required. No walk-ins will be allowed.Cost is only $17.00 and includes lunch, a copy of the "Guide to Safe Scouting", and all program supplies. Dress for the weather as training is conducted mostly outside. Please bring a chair and clipboard.
