Hale Farm and Village is an outstanding restoration village depicting life and crafts during the Civil War. There are artisans and programs in the following: woodworking, basket making, broom making, blacksmithing, pottery making, brick making, spinning and weaving, glass blowing, candle making, domestic arts, and Civil War life.

The camporee committee is continuing to develop hands-on activities that will let Scouts try their hand at some of these skills. Some of the hands-on activities that are being considered are: period games, Civil War drill, wood working, frontier skills, and a fence-mending service project.

Contact Camporee Co-Chairmen Tom Pauling with questions. Additional information can be obtained at Roundtable and in the Final Camporee Bulletin.
