District Committee

District Director: Jan Berry

The District Director and District Executive are full-time professionals employed by the council. Working under the scout executive's direction, the district director and district executive work closely with and support the work of the volunteers.

District Chairman: Jeff McDonald

The District Chairman is the volunteer leader of the district who gives direct leadership to the district committee and who is the district's spokesperson on the council executive board.

District Commissioner: Tom Reynolds

The District Commissioner is a volunteer responsible for unit service and for leading the district commissioner staff. The main responsibilities of the commissioning team are to give friendly, personal help to individual units of the district so they are successful, to facilitate on-time charter renewals, and to help units earn the Quality Unit Award. The district commissioner recruits roundtable commissioners and assistant district commissioners as needed.

Assistant District Commissioners

Assistant District Commissioners are volunteers who work closely with the district commissioner and district executives. Each is responsible for an assigned share of the units in the district and the unit commissioners who serve those units.

Roundtable Commissioners

Roundtable Commissioners are volunteers responsible for planning, promoting, and conducting the monthly Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing Roundtables for all pack, troop, and crew leaders in the district.

Vice Chairman for Finance: Dave Zuehlke

The Vice Chairman for Finance is a volunteer responsible for coordinating all the money-raising activities of the district including the Friends of Scouting campaigns, the council's Trails End popcorn sale, and the other district fundraisers.

Vice Chairman for Membership: Ron Lime

The Vice Chairman for Membership and the Membership Committee are volunteers responsible for helping youth join existing units and for helping to develop new units to support the growth of Scouting for a larger percentage of youth in the district.

Boy Scout Activities Chairman: Tom Pauling

The Boy Scout Activities Chairman is a volunteer who is responsible for coordinating, planning, and promoting skill events, such as camporees and Klondike Derbies for the troops in the district.

Cub Scout Activities Chairman: Al Magnuson

The Cub Scout Activities Chairman is a volunteer who is responsible for coordinating, planning, and promoting district-sponsored activities for the packs in the district.

Advancement Chairman: Kirk Riley

The Advancement Chairman is a volunteer who monitors unit advancement, maintains a list of Merit Badge Counselors, recommends youth and adults for special awards, approves Eagle service projects and conducts Eagle Boards of Review.

Camping Chairman: position open

The Camping Chairman is a volunteer who promotes summer resident camping; year-round camping for all packs, troops, and crews in the district; keeps records of summer camp commitments and promotes High Adventure activities for older Scouts and Venturers.

Communications Chairman: Barb Karweik

The Communications Chairman is a volunteer who coordinates the district website and electronic newsletter, prepares district news releases for community and Scouting publications, and encourages and assists units in publicizing their activities.

Training Chairman: Ruth White

The Training Chairman is a volunteer who determines the district's training needs, develops an annual training program, keeps accurate training records, and provides training recognition.

Order of the Arrow Advisor: Aaron Wyckoff

The Order of the Arrow Advisor is a volunteer who assists the district's youth members of the OA in arranging for unit OA elections, service projects, and camping promotions.

Nominating Committee Chairman: Alex Protopopow

The Nominating Committee Chairman is a volunteer who is responsible for increasing the effectiveness of Scouting in the district by coordinating the selection of a slate of competent officers and members-at-large. Upon election, these candidates will become members of the district committee.
